Impressive debut from this producer. A beat tape that hangs together, has a theme, an R&B vibe that’s laid back but modern. All the tracks feature vocal samples w/o words, used effectively, providing a commonality between each track. You can discern the care that went into the mixing, the thought that went into each sound. Never satisfied with grabbing a default patch or an easy-to-find sample, each beat sparkles with care and craft, showing an appreciation for the sound itself. The beats flow into each other, a groove underneath. And there’s an emotion that lingers with each track, something like reminiscence.
