Alternate time signatures are good for the brain.  Force synapses to process something other than 4/4, travel different neural pathways, demand that active listening occurs as something not quite right is happening. Rooftops from Bellingham likes to play with time.  A lot of dropped beats, 5s, 7s, different time signatures per measure, or if they did play in 4, it was syncopated to all oblivion.  And the 3 guitars, tap-o-riffic, Fripped out, an interweaving of notes and textures.  No bass.  At one point, two of the guitarists walked off stage and played in the audience.  Saxophone a nice touch.  Diligent tuning between each song.  Massive intricacy and composition at work, creating soundscape to get lost in.
