cataldo Nice to see Cataldo headlining and drawing a good crowd on a Friday at The High Dive.   They seem to be getting a following locally, deservedly so.  Cataldo had different line up than the line up from their show with Rebecca Gates. A bigger sound, less folky, more rock, less intimate. Able to fill The High Dive. But still pretty mellow. There are songs where Anderson lights it up with inventive melodies; that’s when they shine.

The Red River opened (boy there are a lot of Red River bands on Myspace) from Long Beach.  They emoted with horns. Drew Victor also played but didn’t see them.

Dag Fremont is full of wasted youth at 1:30 AM.  Hoards of fraternity/sorority row types stumbling around. Watched the spectacle of drunken hot dog consumption teetering on high heels, etc., while unlocking bike.
